How it works
Newcope provides the technology to support penny auctions in any game that sells virtual goods. For browser-based games, we have developed an iframe that can be installed very easily, and auctions can be up and running in a matter of hours.
This is what it means for your users:
1. Users buy bids, each worth a couple of cents
These bids are bought with real money
2. Users place these bids on auctions
Prices start at zero, and every bid increments it with a couple of credits.
These auctions have timers counting down to zero. If the timer is low, the clock gets updated as well with each bid (equivalent to “going once, going twice, ...”)
3. The last user to bid before the clock reaches zero, wins!
This user obtains the right to purchase the good at the price the auction ended on.
Additional features
Buy now
When a user places a bid, part of the value of this bid can be used as a discount towards a direct purchase of this good. This discount is valid for 24 hours.
